NOT ENOUGH FOOD (TOO MANY PEOPLE)
Words & Music by Neil Pike ©2003
I don’t see what your problem is.
Why can’t you share what you’ve got?
This man lives in a garbage dump, that one owns a yacht.
This child’s always hungry and that one’s just not.
And there’s not enough food & too many people.
I’m not in the mood, there’s too many people.
The walls are collapsing, there’s a hole in the steeple.
There’s not enough food & there’s too many people.
I don’t see what you’re running from.
perhaps you’re just scared of your shadow or scarred by your pain.
When will you see we’re all really part of the one big tree?
Roots, leaf, branches & bark all the same.
And there’s not enough food & too many people.
I’m not in the mood, there’s too many people.
The walls are collapsing, there’s a hole in the steeple.
There’s not enough food & there’s too many people.
There’s too many people & not enough trees.
Too many people, it’s like a disease.
Too many people & no-one says “please”.
Poor Mother Nature’s got a bad case of fleas.
Can’t you see what we’re heading for?
The world’s in a mess & we’ve only each other to thank.
This man blows up buildings, that one owns a bank.
This child works in a factory, that one drives a tank.
And there’s not enough food, there’s too many people.
